Employers contend with a myriad of compliance obligations, all in the hopes of complying and avoiding a call from the government. Join this session with Jason Patrick, Principal of Fiduciary Advisors, LLC, to learn how to be prepared if the government ever reaches out to your company concerning your retirement plan.

Speaker:  Jason is the Principal of Fiduciary Advisors, LLC. Jason specializes in advisory services for 401(k)s, 403(b)s, defined benefit plans, nonqualified deferred compensation programs, and executive and key employee insurance solutions. Prior to founding Fiduciary Advisors in 2013, Jason spent 10 years with a National consulting and advisory firm where he headed up the firm’s West Coast retirement practice. Jason retains his Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses and holds the Certified 401(k) Professional® designation by The Retirement Advisor University (“TRAU”) in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. He earned his B.S. degree in Business Finance and retains an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Certified Plan Fiduciary Adviser® designation. In 2017, he was named by the National Association of Plan Advisors as one of the Nation’s Top 75 Retirement Plan Advisors Under 40, and in 2019, 2020, 2021, and once again in 2022, he was recognized by the National Association of Plan Advisors as one of the Nation’s Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors Under 40. In 2019 and 2020, the Financial Times also named Jason one of the 401 Top Retirement Advisors in the Nation. Since 2015, Jason has represented the firm’s clients and the retirement industry on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to discuss retirement and tax reform, industry trends, employer retirement plans, the fiduciary definition rule, transactional taxes, the SECURE Act and most recently, the CARES Act and COVID related retirement legislation. Jason is an active member of the Western Pension Benefits Council, SHRM, PIHRA, and NAPA. He is the Chair of Kestra Financial’s Retirement Plan Advisor Council and sits on The Standard’s Advisor Council. In 2017 and 2018, Jason was invited to participate in the TRAU Master Class Program for Elite 401(k) Plan Advisors held at Fordham University School of Law in New York and UCLA in Los Angeles. In 2019, Jason was quoted in U.S. News & World Report about investing in retirement, and in 2020, he was quoted in Yahoo Finance regarding saving in a volatile market environment, and in GoBankingRates and MSN Money concerning the election results’ potential impact on retirement plans; most recently in 2021, U.S. News & World Report quoted Jason about the risk of inflation on a person’s retirement savings. Aside from running Fiduciary Advisors, in Jason’s free time, he bikes, kayaks and runs throughout Newport Beach. He enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. He supports various charities, to include the National Stroke Association/American Heart Association, Orange County Rescue Mission, Thomas House, Isaiah House, The City of Hope, Canine Companions for Independence, and the Insuring the Children Foundation. In his past, he has coached a high school JV Lacrosse team and briefly played within Boise State’s Lacrosse program.

Regularly Scheduled Meetings –Chapter meetings are an ideal place to network and they provide educational opportunities for chapter members to learn more about critical payroll and compliance issues while earning Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs). Non members are charged a $20.00 Fee per Regular Meeting.
